Praise the Lord!!!!
I have passed 3 out of the 4 CPA papers to date. Praise the Lord, my God, who is forever faithful, God of Mercy and Grace!
Regulation Paper is aimed to take in August 07.
The first paper was FAR - Financial Accounting Regulations which is one of the difficult papers. We spent 2 whole months working hard for it which towards the end of the 2 months we were sick and tired of the studying... The paper was not easy which I didnt finish my last 2 testlets. However God is faithful and gracious towards me, I passed with a score of over 80 (passing mark is 75). Phew! I was so afraid then to look at my score when it was released. And cant believe that i passed!!!
2nd paper is BEC - Business Environmental Concepts, is supposed to be one of the easier one... but i find studying for it not as easy as i have thought. so many concepts to remember and financial management is not my best subject in school and neither my favourite too... I prayed to God for an easy paper as we have heard people failed before. It is such an Heng Suay thing... And by God's grace, i have more than enough time to study which i did... Praise the Lord! the paper was easy for me and i have more than enough time to check my answers and left the exam hall half an hr early. I am kinda confident i will pass but then you know Murphy's Laws... i was scared too... cos whenever i thought i would do well, i didnt... and when i thought i didnt do well, i did... Praise the Lord once again!!! i got over 90!!!! this is a miracle!!!!!!!! never have ever imagine myself getting that kind of score!!!! God is good!
3rd paper is Audit which i feel is the easiest of them all... the difficult part is too many Mnemonics to remember... and i was acting senior for my engagement... didnt study as much as i have wanted... and plus the fact houston exam halls are fully booked, we have to travel to san antonio the night before. this time round wasnt as confident to take the paper... and again i prayed for easy paper on top of other prayers, such as good time management, wisdom, peace etc etc... there were 5 testlets in 4.5hrs... yeah the longest paper amongst the 4. the 2nd testlet was really hard, dont know what the questions were asking... but the last 2 testlets (simulations aka structured questions/essay, each suppose to be done in 30-40mins) were familiar to us cos 1. management letter comment to client, 2. a letter to ur assistant to teach them how to audit one of the sections.... the best simulations i have so far... you know the kind of feeling good after you wrote them... hahaha (well i am an auditor so the simulations are like work to me) and i was done an hr earlier! i just cant imagine that! we rushed home to watch 24 (the drama series) (2.5-3hr drive) just in time to catch it!!!! THE LORD IS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and this time my score is over 90 as well!!!!!!!!! i am tremendously overjoyed, totally SURPRISED!!! All glory be to God which brings me through!!!
Now i am 75% done with my CPA. just left with the last one.. Regulations which is a tax paper, probably the most difficult one for me. May i preservere through the last one and May God deliver me! God is faithful and Victory is His! Amen!
