Alaska trip
Alaska is beautiful. Never have I dreamt of going to Alaska, is my dearie's dream. After reading some of the travel books about Alaska, it seemed like an exciting place to visit.It is beautiful with awesome scenery. Mountain rangeSSS.. some snow-capped, some are not. very green and a lot of forests. lot of wild animals, on land and at sea.
Must say this trip is also filled with God's blessings.
Count our blessings:
1) Almost freezed to death in Denali National Park while camping. Thank God we met a really nice couple who lent us the super thick blankets and saved our day. It is summer in Alaska but feels like Houston winter in the day and at night... it was insane! Just to give you an idea.. i was so cold i couldn't sleep at all. wore 5 tops include 1 long john and fleece jacket and wore 4 bottoms include 2 long johns, jeans and pants.
2)We saw a Grizzly crossed the road of our bus tour in Denali National Park (the third time we saw a Grizzly and is the only time that we can make it out that it is a Grizzly). The first 2 times, the Grizzly was so far away i only can see white dots.
3) We saw a Black bear cub crossed the road while driving from Valdez to Homer. Sweet! Cos my dearie always want to walk/hike the trail and want to see bears... but i super Wuss... very scared... i said i want to see bear where i feel safe not on the trail. ("Ask and you shall be given") Praise the Lord!
4) We saw so many animals (wolf, fox, snowshoe hare, ground squirrel, bear, dall sheep, mountain goat, moose, caribou, sea otter, seal, sea lion, humpbacks whales, porsephine, orca (killer whale), puffin bird, golden eagle, bald eagle, flying salmon and catching halibut). It's amazing!
All in all this is a wonderful place, so close to Mother Nature... Absolutely beautiful... Highly Recommended to visit if you can.
