Sunday Church Service

I have a good service on Sunday. We went to the West Chinese Houston Church. The sermon is good. However i felt more compelled to blog about the lady we met, whom is in charged of welcoming.

She is Linda and she welcomed us into the church and shared many things. I am amazed at the things she shared and she can went on and on and she was the only one who did all the talking. She shared about God, about how she received Jesus, her life story and how God works in her life. You can see how in love she is with Jesus, with God. She is so passionate about it. She does not know us and yet she just tells us all about herself. She is willing to risk, risk of how people may look at her differently, risk of rejection but yet she boldly shared all her stories. She is so real. She said God comes first before her husband. They are married for 25 or more years and they are still so loving.

What really spoke to me was when she said when the Holy Spirit impresses on your heart to do something or say something. Obey and do it! She talked about how a fren of hers was prompted by the Holy Spirit to preach the gospel to this lady. This lady was playing mahjong when she came so she waited and waited and decided just leave the present she brought and come back another time. But there was no another time. Shortly after she left, the mahjong session ended and the lady was knocked down and killed in a car accident. And another occassion, when Holy Spirit prompted her to share Christ with her sick dad and she wrestled with the Holy Spirit and finally obeyed and lead her dad to Christ in the emergency room. Her dad died a few days after.
She shared many things about how God pursued her. All these really touched my heart. God is good. He is faithful. I am reminded how God had pursued me. He never give up on me even now when i have accepted Jesus. He is constantly loving me and i believe He has sent Linda to speak to me or us... ... There is a message which is also in line with the sermon that day.

Learn to pour out your heart to Him and He can and will take your authenticity. He is our true and real fren. He is our loving Father in Heaven. And i need to spend more time with Him.
